How to thank someone for a recommendation

Always be sure to thank someone if they give you a recommendation. It’s an extremely lovely thing to do as they are putting their name and personal brand on the line for your benefit. All the risk is theirs, and all the benefit is yours. If you have any “home training” at all, you’ll remember to show your appreciation.
